Come and Learn about New York State Finger Lakes Wine and Enjoy a Gourmet Dinner at a Premium Venue
There are five American Viticultural Area regions in the State of New York. One of these primary grape-growing AVA is the Finger Lakes, about a 4.5-hour drive northwest of New York City. The Finger Lakes were carved thousands of years ago by successive waves of glaciers, creating long, wide cuts as deep as 618 feet below sea level and some ranging from 40 miles in length. Around 150 wineries in this region are well known for grape styles Riesling, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir.
