Meet Frédéric Cayuela, a passionate wine lover and educator in Japan.
Frédéric is born in the Roussillon wine region located in south of France in the boundaries of Spain.
With over 10 years of experience in the wine industry, Frédéric possesses a seasoned and a unique
international background. He worked as a wine advisor for the château Nadal Hainaut in France,
and, as a wine merchant, consultant, and educator in Taiwan and Singapore.
This experience making his knowledge in the world of wines to be possibly immensely
different from many other educators.
For several years, as a wine writer specialized in south of France wines, his articles have been
regularly published by winemakers and by the Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins du Roussillon
(CIVR). The blogger team was also invited to judge and to taste south of France category for the
Guide Hachette.
Now settled in Tokyo, Frédéric is a devoted Roussillon wine ambassador and shares his valuable
knowledge about his native wine region, and in addition his expertise on other French and worldwide
winemaking regions as he obtained numerous international credentials under his belt.
To him, it is important that wine knowledge is not only academic, but also translated into an easy-
going practical learning and a unique experience.
Here are few of his accomplishments in the wine industry:
Finalist 2 nd place (2014) – Team winner (2012) during the professional Dionysiades wine
tasting contest in France.
Diploma WSET candidate in Tokyo, level 3 holder.
CSW, Certified Specialist of Wine from Society of Wine Educators.
FWS (French Wine Scholar) Program Instructor.
Guide Hachette Judge for south of France category.

4:15pm: Welcoming guests with the aperitif
4:30pm-5pm: Powerpoint presentation on New Zealand wines
5pm-7pm: Dinner time
8pm: Closing door
