A night of tasting, education and fun as we compare a selection of Italian wines ( our focus ) against the same French varieties. Join our native Italian wine specialist as he takes you through 10 selected wines to showcase how different and at times how similar the wine styles can be. A great event for novices and experienced wine-o-philes alike. Do not miss this unique comparative tasting and take a journey from Italy to France and back! Our 5 senses will be strongly called upon for a beautiful cultural and exclusive experience.
We will be at our new venue : the upscale Restaurant ARGO in Hanzomon
Our Italian speaker for that night will be Francesco Puglia:
Born in Salerno, South of Italy, decided to move in Japan more than 10 years ago. He has been working for very well and long established wine companies in Japan. With a very strong knowledge of the market and accustomed to Japanese consumers preferences he started up his own company on June 2015, K.K. Sassolino, Italian quality.
Sassolino (Little Stone) has more than 30 outstanding, limited Italian wines on stock actually and planning to reach 40 items by the beginning of the next autumn.
For the first time, we will introduce an Orange wine:
2010 Quartara Colli di Salerno IGT – Lunarossa (Fiano grape)
Orange wines tend to be unique and exciting.
It’s a white wine made like red wine. The color is close to orange due to the fermentation occurred in amphora ( like the Romans used to do )
