The Wine Expert
Experienced wine instructor
William F. O’Connor, Ed.D., DipWSET, holds the title of Professor Emeritus at Asia University, where he taught English, International Relations, and Business Negotiations for over three decades.
Before COVID, he taught an annual summer wine course at Waseda Extension (Waseda Open College).
In addition to his wine certifications, he holds an International Kikisake-shi (Sake Sommelier) certification from SSI International (Sake Service Institute International, Tokyo) and is a Whisky Ambassador.
He is a member of the Circle of Wine Writers (London) and is the co-author of Drinking Japan: It’s Not Just Sake, published by Sanshusha in 2019.
He co-runs the blog drinkingjapan.org.
