The Wine Instructor:
Wine Instructor
Josu was born in Bilbao, known as the “North” capital of Spain, famous port town in the past and service city in present. Inside the region know as Basque Country.
From 2009 till 2014 he became a wine manager in the famous “Museum of Wine”. A wine-only restaurant in Bilbao, always full of wine lovers, sommeliers, wine makers, and any kind of people related to this incredible world. Was a time of wine tasting, visiting wine cellars, sommelier courses, etc….
After 5 years, Spain started to look small to him and he decided to travel abroad and expand my knowledge. Japan was his destiny. Famous for it’s food, culture and tradition, he started from scratch, spending 2 years learning Japanese in my beloved Gunma Prefecture, later achieving his objective of working in a wine importer in Tokyo.
Since 2016 it has been a road full of new grapes, aging methods, terroirs, wineries, wine makers, sommeliers, etc… Making it worth it for every effort.
He just wish the wheel does not stop and the future bring more wines, countries and entertaining moments. At the end, that is what wine is about: gather with people you like and enjoy every drop of it.
