Tom is originally from the USA and grew up in St. Louis, Mo. After finishing his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri- Columbia he went to Europe for a teaching job and travel to as many places as possible.
After a visit to his distant relatives’ winery in the Mosel Region in Germany and seeing the drive, passion and lifestyle of the wine community, it inspired him to pursue a career in wine.

After 5 years in Chicago, Tom was interested in learning more about the wine industry and enrolled in the Master’s of Wine Business Program at the University of Adelaide in Australia. He thought the move to Australia was a great opportunity to experience the vineyards, wineries, wines as well as the personalities in the business.
Upon completion of his studies, Tom worked a harvest in Oregon before returning to Australia for a role as sales manager. The opportunity was great way to learn more about all aspects of the wine business as well as develop business in Asia Pacific region.
